Overview
William’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation related to eminent domain and real estate matters. His diverse background and experience in business and transactional law allow him to provide holistic legal advice, whether litigation-related or otherwise.
Prior to joining Olsen Barton, William served as a judicial law clerk at the Lane County Circuit Court, where he honed his legal research and writing skills by working closely with judges to provide detailed recommendations on a broad range of civil cases pending before the court, many of which were designated complex or assigned to the Lane County Commercial Court. He also previously worked in the legal and compliance department of a leading multinational company in the renewable energy sector, where he gained valuable experience in negotiating and drafting complex, high-stakes contract provisions and assisting in preparation for pending litigation and arbitration.
William finds great reward in understanding the nuances of each client’s situation and finding creative solutions to complex issues that put the client in the best position to achieve a superior outcome, whether through settlement or trial.
